To view a webcast seminar LIVE on streaming video:

  • Open Windows Media Player
  • Select the FILE pulldown menu and choose: Open URL
  • Enter: mms://video.wr.usgs.gov/live
  • Click OK.
  • There will be a few seconds of video buffering, then Windows media player should connect with the live videostream.


    • To view a webcast seminar ARCHIVED on streaming video:

  • Go to the Video Archive and click on the link you are interested in viewing, this should open your media player and start the video

    Or, if that does not work:

  • Open Windows Media Player
  • Select the FILE pulldown menu and choose: Open URL
    (if you can not find this pulldown menu, go to the skin chooser and choose corporate --> apply skin)
  • Enter the mms://URL - the mms/URLs are listed in the Video Archive.
  • Click OK
